iPhone and scrolling divs with overflow auto

Picture of IrvinI have, like almost everyone else been working on iPhone applications. One of the first things I noticed was that I wasn't able to scroll within div elements with their overflow style attribute set to overflow. In other words, there was no way to have a multiple scrollbar.

Thanks to an article on mac os x hints I was able to figure out how to do it. The answer is to scroll with two fingers in parallel down the element you wish to scroll through. I don't know how an end user is supposed to figure out which elements are scrollable, but I guess that is our problem as web developers. I'd imagine that this is also the method for scrolling inside of HTML text boxes as well.

I never would have thought of that, thanks mac os x hints!
