iPhone DL Definition List Strangeness

Picture of IrvinFrom the best that I can tell, the iPhone has some trouble with dynamically resizing some XHTML elements, such as DL's with DT and DD elements. It appears that it expands the DT elements at a much greater rate than the DD elements.

In other words, the DT text size is exponentially, proportionally greater than the DD. The only way I have been able to manage this behavior is to either change the DL to an UL and manage the styles, or to limit the zoom factor. It is a little odd that some text scales at a greater rate than other text, but I'm sure it is just one of many oddities of the iPhone's hybrid Safari 3 and 2 version. I'll be glad when Safari 3 is available for the iPhone, probably around Leopard's release.
